I am always in awe of the adorableness (word?) of kids clothes these days. I mean, my mom dressed me in the finest of garb directly from the land of zellers...stir up pants, tweety sweat shirts...it is a wonder I ever learned to dress cool...but it really was normal back then for kids to be dressed in crap clothes...who put designer sneaks on their kids in the 70's anyways. But oh how times have changed. I found this designer - Kristin Loffer Theiss - that I love and I wanted to give her a shout out cause how cute is that owl t-shirt! Definitely getting Finn one...enjoy!

True Cuddles is awesome!
I recently got a cool shout out from a very groovy site called True Cuddles. They have all these amazing deals for baby/kiddie stuff so I am always on the site looking for great deals on wicked stuff for little Finn. They did a little interview with me as a mom-preneur and I am tickled pink that it is up and I don't look like a dork...ok maybe I do, but a semi cool dork!
Check me out...

Gob-ildy-goop!
I recently came across this newsletter site called Goop by actress Gwyneth Paltrow. It is a blog of sorts, with newsletters about cool places to go, things to buy, but also interesting takes on topics like cooking and parenting. It is a really interesting view on this fashion icons' life and her ideas on every day stuff. It really makes you realize that celebs are just folks with faults and likes and dislikes and it turns out this one is pretty cool as well! Enjoy!
PS - I love the name...

Oh how I love this tune...
ok so I found this site awhile ago and it has super cute kids clothes: Gretchen & Co on Eglinton in Toronto. I also like the groovy image transition on home page...but what I forgot about was how I love the opening animation and song...it reminds me of the partridge family and just makes me want to tap my toes and buy some clothes! Oh I am a poet and didn't even know it! Ta-da!

A bunch of cool chicks
So I am the first person to admit I procrastinate...I procrastinate horribly...so sometimes it just takes a little boost to get me going and then when I am in the 'zone' watch out! I think sometimes when you are in a funk you need to surround yourself with like minded people to bounce ideas off of and get you back on track.
After little Finn was born, obviously I had a lot on my plate and now that I am getting back into the swing I felt a little lost. A little out of sorts on my passion...what was my passion, what am I doing to push my career forward, what can I do to feel fresh and add life to my business?
This past weekend I met my Ladies Who Launch group of chicks who I am so happy to have met through the program and now we try to meet every month or so to catch up and see what cool projects we are working on. This time we met for high tea at the Windsor Arms right off Bloor in the the big smoke, and we had scones and petit fours and yummy tea...and did I mention the scones? OK I am badly off track now, where was I? Oh yes, the ladies...so we went around the table chatting about what we have been up to with our business ideas/businesses and then the ideas were flying. It was great.
So when it came time for moi I was a little nervous as I really hadn't done much aside from popping out a baby. I have started back to work and have some projects that I am working on, but I didn't feel I had too much to annouce. When I started my monologue I was suprised that yes I did have cool stuff to chat about, and it made me feel back in the game and on track to my goals. I also had this new idea for a mommy blog which everyone really encouraged me to start and I left feeling really motivated and excited about my business and my life.
I think the moral of this long winded story is that you really have to surround yourself with people who encourage you and who are quite like minded as they are the people who have a million things on the go just like you and they are the ones who push you to be the person you really strive to be. I just wanted to thank my cool chicks for the pep talk and I hope they felt as excited as I did after guzzling back a few jugs of tea.

Wall art that rocks
So I am always looking online for ways to spend money much to the chagrin of my better half, and I came across this link from a cool newsletter subscription that I receive daily from the sparkling single. It was a link to an etsy page and the designer was elly nelly from New York. These wall decals are so cool and I love the variety they possess! I have been searching high and low for some cool stuff for my office and Finn's room and eureka I think I have found it! Now if I could only decide on which one...

A little recognition!
Howdy folks! A little fun tidbit that I learned yesterday is that my website was added to Cool Home Pages.com! I have always been a fan of this website and I frequent it a lot to get inspiration from other coolio designers...so to have me added is pretty awesome and makes me feel like I've finally made it...(break into Manilow...looks like we made it!). They told me that I would be added to the end of the lists some of the categories such as Flash, animation, color schemes, layouts and very clean..however when I checked I was on the first page of all these categories - hoo ra, I have arrived!
